EUROPEAN PROJECTS

The SECURE project is showcased at the FISA-EURADWASTE 2025 conference

Clust-ER Health attended the FISA-EURADWASTE 2025 Conference in Warsaw, a high-level event organised between 12-16 May 2025 under the auspices of the Polish Presidency of the Council of the European Union and that brought together stakeholders from across Europe (and beyond) to shape the future of nuclear research and innovation.

On behalf of the SECURE project consortium and together with ENEN Association, co-organiser of the event, Clust-ER Health was honoured to present a poster showcasing how this EURATOM-funded project is contributing to a stable European supply of medical radioisotopes, indeed a critical area of nuclear innovation.

Some of the key messages from the FISA-EUDADWASTE 2025 conference included:

  • the importance of youth engagement
  • the need for public trust and societal dialogue
  • the progress made in increasing the presence of women in the nuclear sector. Representation has grown, but a push for greater gender diversity and inclusion at all levels is needed.

In addition, the presentation of the Maria Reaktor from the Radioisotope Centre POLATOM at the Conference host institute National Centre for Nuclear Research, which produces radioisotopes for 400.000 patients each week, was a strong reminder of the societal impact of nuclear beyond energy.

Building on this momentum, we warmly invite you to join us on 28 May 2025 for the SECURE Special Event: “Advancing in Supply, Safety and Strength in Radioisotopes Production and Use for Nuclear Medicine: Innovations and Perspectives“, where we will share project updates.
